Where is Aura Theory located?
Aura Theory’s home base is Virginia Beach, but we love to travel! We’re happy to bring our unique aura photography experience to your location, whether it’s for a private event, corporate activation, or pop-up. Travel arrangements must be made for two team members, all equipment, and the yurt. Contact us to discuss logistics and availability for your event.

How many photos will I receive?

• Single Session: Includes one individual aura photo.

• Double Session: Includes three photos—one for each individual and one combined photo.

• Group Session: Available for groups up to five. Each participant will receive their individual aura interpretation as long as they place their hands on the plates.

Since your aura is constantly evolving, you’re welcome to book sessions as often as you'd like to capture and explore changes in your energy over time!

Can more than one person be in a photo?
Yes! We can photograph up to five people at a time. However, only individuals with hands on the hand plates will have their auras accurately read. Any additional individuals in the photo will influence the energy fields being captured, resulting in a shared energy representation.

Can you photograph pets?
Yes, we can photograph you with your pet! While we don’t currently have pet-specific hand plates, your furry friend can still join you for a special aura photo. We hope to add fur-baby technology in the future.

Is there an age requirement?
We recommend children be over the age of 7, though there is no strict age requirement. Hands must be large enough to touch the sensors on the hand plates to get an accurate reading. Kids can sometimes be wiggly, but these moments often create uniquely charming photos!

Can I get my aura photo taken when I’m pregnant?
Absolutely! Aura photography is completely safe at any stage of pregnancy. Many expectant mothers love to capture this special time with an aura photo, and some return after their baby is born for a memorable "before and after" experience.

What should I expect during my aura photography session?
Your session includes a guided experience with one of our team members, who will explain the process and help you relax. You'll place your hands on the plates, and our aura camera will capture your unique energy field. We’ll provide an in-depth interpretation of your colors and a take-home color study guide.

How long does each session take?
Most sessions take about 15-20 minutes, including the photo capture and color interpretation. Double and group sessions may take longer, depending on the number of participants and the depth of interpretation.

Can Aura Theory be booked for private events?
Yes! We specialize in providing aura photography experiences for weddings, corporate wellness events, bridal showers, birthday parties, and other special occasions. Whether you're hosting an intimate gathering or a large-scale event, we’ll work with you to create a memorable and engaging experience for your guests. What should I wear for my aura photo?
Feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable! Your aura will be captured regardless of clothing. Many clients enjoy wearing colors that resonate with them personally for the experience or match the theme of their event.

Yes, aura photography is safe for all. It’s a non-invasive process that simply captures the energetic field around you. Whether you’re pregnant, bringing a child, or have unique considerations, we welcome everyone to enjoy this experience.

Can you accommodate large corporate events or pop-ups?
Yes, we are experienced in hosting large-scale events, including corporate activations, pop-ups, and brand partnerships. We can customize the experience to align with your brand or event theme, creating an unforgettable activation that sparks conversation and drives social engagement.

What aura photo session should I book?

We offer a few different aura photography options depending on the type of experience you’re looking for.

Studio In-Depth Aura Session
This is the best option if you want the full experience. During this session, we’ll sit down together for about 20–30 minutes to review the colors in your aura photo, answer your questions, and discuss any practices or support that may be helpful for your energetic field. You’ll leave with your aura photo, a color meaning guide, and a deeper understanding of what your energy is reflecting right now.

Trio of Energies
The Trio of Energies is a shared aura photography experience for two people. This session includes three aura photos total: one individual aura photo for each person, plus one shared aura photo together.

During the session, we’ll look at each individual photo and then explore the shared energetic field shown in the photo taken together. Each guest will leave with their own photo and color guide.

The Trio of Energies session is $200 total for two people. Individual aura photos are normally $80 each. With the Trio of Energies, the pricing breaks down as:

$80 — Individual photo for Guest 1
$80 — Individual photo for Guest 2
$40 — Shared aura photo together at half price

Walk-In Express Aura Photo
This is a quick, lower-touch option for anyone who wants a brief aura photo experience. You’ll receive about 2–4 minutes of insight about your photo, along with a color guide to take home. This is a great choice if you’ve already had an in-depth session, want a quick check-in, are short on time, or prefer something simple and fast.

Walk-In Photo Only
This option is for guests who do not need an interpretation. It’s ideal if you are already familiar with aura photography, want to interpret the photo yourself, or simply want the photo. You’ll come in, receive your aura photo, and be on your way.
